Information is one of the main resources for humanity nowadays. Its usage worldwide is enormous, it’s every second, it’s 24 hours a day. Media content and the creators of media content are working all the time to give the society and the social groups what they need. The need to talk, to show their pictures, to share their success and other’s success, they need to communicate. So, everything is fast and very easy accessed in the modern society, but what if we’re not living in the big cities or we’re not so modern and so young also. What the person is going to do?
I think it’s a well know theme, but it’s not discussed enough and the effective measures are not so much to cover ordinary people in little town’s needs. It’s like that, here in Eastern Europe. I think the water is not so clear in so many other countries also. There are many children in local schools, who go to school only because “it must”. The lessons and the information those children got from the place they learn is a little bit old, a little bit not so colorful and fulfilling. These kids need to learn about the real life. How history events happened, with cards and interactive graphics, just to see, just to “get in touch” with their own country’s history and heroes; how looks the globe and the countries with pictures, with videos, even with real stories; how the chemistry and physics looks for real. The miss of information is not only in the lack, it’s the miss in the way the information is given and in the way people use it and work with it in their lifetime. Digital era made so many things easy and helpful to use, we just need to know to work with it. That’s the way with the information. It’s there and it’s so much in different spheres and aspects of life, but people don’t use it enough to be useful, to communicate complete, to teach their kids new things, smart things, that made life simple than before, that made us even more inquisitive. There are many things to do with the education and access to information in little populated places. People, social organizations and governments must act smart. It’s not even only about the money. We need people with energy and desire to teach children and young people to act well, to listen carefully, to create a higher visual culture, to love what they read, just to love to learn.
Think global, act local they said. I think that’s the way internet works. It can be done such thing in education for example. It’s not the final result we, the young people, that looking for. It’s the whole process. When the process is good enough to catch a fire, you like what you hear, what you see, what you do and when this happens at the final you also like the result, but there’s a feeling of satisfaction and completeness. The person loves the learned and just love itself, because it’s part of it. It’s so simple to be done. The need is for people. People that tend to act, to learn and to teach, people who cares about not only themselves and their own lives, but those who are ready to share truth, compassion, life lessons, emotions, motivations. That’s the global meaning for us, the people to be here at Earth, to share love and to care for each other every way we can. And we can, at least for the young children.
