The SDGs are the focus of LADDER activities and events and fostering their implementation at the local level is a priority. The next event that will open the discussion to this topic is happening in a few days, when the final conference of the LADDER project will take place in Strasbourg from 21 to 22 November 2017.

The final conference is organized by the European Association for Local Democracy – ALDA in cooperation with several local stakeholders: Solidarité Eau Europe, COLECOSOL, Zig et Zag – plateforme achat responsable, Académie de la petit enfance, Council of Europe, CEFODE, and GESCOD.

Representatives of Local Authorities, Civil Society Organizations, European Union and other professionals with expertise in the topic will be part of the panel debates and discussions that will be held during the conference. Participants will play an active role in the conference and launch their own thematic concerning the SDGs and Development Education.

Apart from that, other activities will be realized, including a training for the Citizen Journalists network within the project. The citizen journalists who were involved in the Citizen Journalism Initiative will take part in the training to get knowledge and skills to use journalism and communication in the field of sustainable development.
