Within the framework of ALDA General Assembly and its related events, a fundamental role was played by LADDER project.

On 6th and 7th May, the 26 partners and 20 associates of LADDER – Local Authorities as Drivers for Development Education and Raising awareness – met in Podgorica, Montenegro, to work on the 1st Monitoring Session of the project, coordinated by Nikos Gamouras, ALDA project manager, with the kind support of Mrs Monica Dimitriu, INOVA + expert from Romania, which delivered some presentations and cured some activities and exercises with the participants. The Monitorin Session also included the sharing experiences with some participants of “Local Coalitions for Community Development” project, coordinated by Stanka Parac, SEE Regional Programmes Coordinator of ALDA.

On 8th May, the 1st meeting of the South Eastern Europe Working Group of LADDER held successfully. The meeting provided the opportunity to hold a first vis-à-vis meeting between the member organisations of this Geographical Path (SEE Path) of the project, exchange on the priorities and themes to focus on , to promote the role of LAs in DEAR policies, and to support the cooperation with CSOs. The work will be followed online while the next meeting of the Path is foreseen on the 5th of June in Brussels, within the official kick off of the project.
